Start Spreading the News…

I went to NYC for a brief business trip and loved it. The city has something so special to it! I stayed in the heart of the theater district and too a nice (chilly) stroll after I checked in, to go have dinner. Ate at a place called “Landmarc” where I could enjoy a nice wine with a great Caesar Salad while I finished reading “Rules For Revolutionaries”.

On the way back to the hotel, listening to Billy Joel while walking through Times Square definitely put me in a “New York State of Mind”.

Here are some more photos, in case you want to check them out.

Discovery Shuttle Launch

If there’s one cool perk of living in Central Florida it’s gotta ben that we get first row seats to all the Space Shuttle launches.

Today, we got a chance to enjoy the launch of Discovery, at 11:38 EST. It was just like the first time. I still remember when I first saw Columbia fly back in the day… Geez!! I sound like an old fart, don’t I?

El Reencuentro de Dos Hermanos

Viejos amigos…

Lovebug Attack

We went for a bike ride over by Lake Monroe (Sanford, FL). This is the first and most likely last time we’ll be visiting that neck of the woods.

The ride was not that great, in all honesty: according to the Seminole County official map there should have already been a piece of bike trail in existence since 2005… I don’t know where it was, because we rode a good 45 minutes round trip and the only thing there was for bikes was a tiny space by the side of the road.

Besides that, there was quite a smell of fish by the lakeside… I mean fish as in PUAJJJJ!! Not fish, as in “Oh! It smells like sea water!” or something…

But the BEST part of all was the swarm of lovebugs we rode our bikes and the car through. In the picture you can see the result of the lovebug attack. Luckily, I was able to get it back to normal after a good water hosing and scrubbing.
